Renters' Guide
NeighborWorks® Anchorage operates all of our apartment communities in accordance with the State of Alaska Landlord-Tenant Act and Federal Fair Housing rules and regulations.
The State of Alaska has a brochure that summarizes resident and landlord rights and responsibilities. This brochure can be found at http://www.commerce.state.ak.us/occ/pub/landlord.pdf.
Our resident managers receive regular training and updates on all aspects of the Landlord-Tenant Act. They will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
The lease is a very important and legally binding agreement between a resident and a landlord. Remember to take the time to review the lease with your resident manager.
When you move in, the apartment will be clean and ready to rent. It is your responsibility to return the unit to a similar condition when you move out. Some wear and tear is normal, but you will be financially responsible for damage and abuse while living in the apartment and at move-out.
