Unit Inspections

NeighborWorks® Anchorage conducts periodic inspections of all units and other facilities to ensure that they are decent, safe and sanitary.  We will be checking to make sure that things like smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are working, that doors and windows are secure and weather resistant, that all of the appliances work properly and that heat and hot water operate normally.  We also check to make sure that housekeeping is adequate to keep the unit sanitary.  Some of our properties have multiple inspections a year and involve third parties, such as HUD or Alaska Housing.
