Project Homeless Connect

Project Homeless Connect (PHC) is a community-wide effort that originated out of the Anchorage Coalition on Homelessness and its 10-year plan to end homelessness. Project Homeless Connect provides essential services directly to individuals through a one-day, one-stop event.

The Project Homeless Connect one-stop model began in San Francisco in October 2004 and has been replicated in over 115 cities. The one-stop model removes the barriers preventing people from accessing critical services such as social security, public assistance, housing assistance, food, medical care, and substance abuse treatment.

The first Project Homeless Connect event was held in July 2007 and NeighborWorks® Anchorage has been actively involved in this event since that time.
