Social Activities

At many of our properties social events and educational opportunities are important to providing residents a sense of community. Throughout the year many of these events are held including: potlucks, cookouts, spring clean up/garage sales, and holiday gatherings as well as and other events.

Social Activities are especially prominent at our Single Room Occupancy(SRO) communities. There, residents gather for monthly movie nights, sewing clubs and garden clubs, chronic illness classes and health fairs. Residents at both SROs are involved in many volunteer programs through the Red Cross of Alaska, Mobile Food Pantry and Project Homeless Connect.

NeighborWorks® Anchorage hosts an annual barbeque and celebration at The Adelaide to recognize resident achievement. Throughout the year events and social activities are encouraged and supported, and are successful in making life in our many communities a positive place to live.
