Volunteer Opportunities

NeighborWorks® Anchorage values our volunteers and offers many opportunities to help others through our projects, programs and events. Some of those are listed below, however, we encourage interested volunteers to contact us at 907-677-8490 for more detailed information.

Grant Writing

As a non-profit organization, NeighborWorks® Anchorage looks for funding opportunities through city, state and federal grants. Assistance in seeking funding and sponsorships for our diverse programs is always welcome.

Paint The Town

National NeighborWorks® Week will be held in Anchorage, June 1-9, 2012. During the week NeighborWorks® Anchorage mobilizes hundreds of volunteers, businesspeople, neighbors, friends, and local and elected leaders in activities for neighborhood change and awareness. Included is our Paint the Town project. In 2010 we were able to paint 19 homes throughout the community and in 2011 we were able to paint a total of 18 homes. Our 2012 goal is to paint 20 homes during the week of June 1 to June 9. Over 300 volunteers are needed for Paint the Town, so please contact us today to find out how you can be a part of this event.
